What is this?
The aim is to promote the cloud transition of public administration, considering the protection of personal data.
The project is based on, for example, the Schrems II decision that changed the data protection environment.
What we do?
DigiFinland is responsible for the management of the project and coordinates the work.
The purpose of the project is to define the national common minimum data protection requirements for cloud services in public administration, and to negotiate the related terms and conditions with cloud service providers.
The results of the project will make it possible to prepare more precise sector-specific cloud service strategies in the public sector.
Who are involved in the cooperation?
The project is managed and funded by the Ministry of Finance. Its stakeholders include many Finnish public sector actors.
The project continues until the end of 2023.
