What is this?
The ‘Ryhti muutostuki’ project provides support for municipalities and regional councils in the digitalisation of information in the built environment. The project is part of the ‘Ryhti’ project of the Ministry of the Environment and the Finnish Environment Institute, in which the information generated in the land use planning and building permit processes is collected in a coherent format. For this purpose, a national built environment information system (Ryhti) will be created. The ‘Ryhti muutostuki’ project ensures that municipalities have the capacity to deploy data structures and the information system.

Who are involved in the cooperation?
The ‘Ryhti muutostuki’ project will involve cooperation with the Ministry of the Environment, the Finnish Environment Institute, as well as the municipalities and regions. Experts in land use planning, building permits, spatial data services, and information management play a key role in municipalities.
What we do?
We support municipalities and regional councils in the transformation of operating methods, as well as in the introduction of new data structures and information systems. We organise information and training sessions, as well as produce instructions and guidebooks. We strengthen the procurement competence through training, among other things. We are responsible for the implementation of the project and communicate it together with the Ministry of the Environment and the Finnish Environment Institute.
