What is this?
Aurora is the national artificial intelligence programme coordinated by the Ministry of Finance. The aim of the AuroraAI Programme is to implement a human-centred operating model in which artificial intelligence helps citizens and companies utilise services in a timely and ethical manner.
The technical AuroraAI network, which will be built as part of the AuroraAI Programme, will help link the services of central government organisations together to also interact with services in other sectors. The network will use artificial intelligence and bot technology to improve, in particular, encounters of public services and service users and to ensure that resources are not wasted. The purpose of the AuroraAI network is to link different services and provide the correct services to citizens and businesses at the correct time.

What we do
As part of the AuroraAI Programme, a knowledge management solution will be developed for the collection, saving and presentation of welfare data in human-centred manner to support the AuroraAI network. The core and premise for the project are interactive artificial intelligence, a desktop for dynamic knowledge management, and open software development. Interactive artificial intelligence will offer people living and residing in Finland access to the AuroraAI network and its services. A dynamic knowledge management desktop will help structure data imported to the AuroraAI network and data processed online in daily decision-making. Open software development will create the required conditions for the development and growth of the AI network with the joint efforts of various actors.
In practice, a solution for human-centred knowledge management will help people be active participants in future life situations and life events that will require new knowledge, decision-making and changes. The aim is to help people develop their self-knowledge, identify life events and come up with solutions to problems. Where necessary, the person will be offered channels for public and private services.
Where are we currently?
The project, which was carried out in 2021-2022, was completed in December 2022.
